Adobe XD Support and Maintenance Overview
- Product Status: Adobe XD is in "maintenance mode." Adobe is not developing new features but continues to provide bug fixes and security/privacy updates.
- Support Timeline: Adobe will provide a significant notice period before ending support for the product.
- Plug-ins:
- Supported from version 13.0 onwards.
- Plug-ins are currently free to use.
- Developers can access the Adobe I/O console via Plug-ins > Development > Create a Plug-in.
- Support for installation issues is handled directly by the plug-in developer via the "Get Support" option.
- Cloud Documents:
- Cloud documents allow for cross-device access and real-time collaboration.
- Offline edits are supported and will sync automatically once a connection is restored.
- Sync issues are often related to the Creative Cloud sync process.
- Troubleshooting & Known Issues:
- Behance: Prototypes can be published directly to Behance via the Property Inspector.
- Installation/Permissions: Specific guides are available for resolving plug-in installation errors and enterprise-related workflow issues.
- Crashes (macOS): May occur after upgrading; specific troubleshooting steps are provided for launch failures.
- Crashes (Windows): Often caused by folder permissions, outdated OS versions, or display drivers.
